People frequently inquire, “How did the EKS get started?

It was over several years. Various individuals became involved in Bible studies, missions, and research that called for detailed studies in Christian theology. The group grew but remained loosely associated.

We realized that while we were from various denomination backgrounds, we owed no allegiance or support to those particular sects. Accordingly, we informally became identified as undenominational Christians.

Through attrition, we have benefited from associating with some who have been educated formally in theology and some who are in the lay category who have an understanding of scripture and history and are willing to impart their knowledge to others. There was unanimous agreement that our schools, universities, and seminaries were not educating their students. Actually, the students were being indoctrinated with various theologies that history or scripture will not support.
